Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the best artist for me to schedule my tattoo with?

No one has the answer to that question but yourself. Part of our job is to help prepare and educate you on how you can make the best decision for yourself when getting tattooed. Getting familiar with multiple tattoo artists' portfolios is a very important place to start. If you have a specific concept or style in mind, every tattoo artist in the world is going interpret and execute your idea differently, and every Individual person has their own opinion on what kind of tattoos they like. By looking at multiple examples of a tattoo artist’s work, you can begin to get a feel of the kind of tattoos each artist produces and in turn feel out if the kind of tattoos they make are the kind you want to get. If you do not see tattoos that look similar in style or quality to what you are interested in, that is probably not the right artist for you.

Do you do walk-ins?

Our studio in generally not a walk in style studio. This is because we schedule appointments ahead of time to fill our days. Sometimes, time does open up to where we may be able to accommodate a walk-in or same day appointment for something simplistic with minimal customization. You are always welcome to call or stop by to see if something is available.

Can I see my design before my tattoo appointment?

When it comes to most of our appointments, we are not usually working on your design until the week of or sometimes even the day before your appointment. Our consultations are thorough enough to give us everything we need to complete your design to your exact request. The majority of our clients see their design the day of the appointment with enough time to make some adjustments if need be. Changing your idea completely or major adjustments will most likely result in rescheduling.

If seeing your design ahead of time is your preference, we don’t mind doing that for you. We do require a scheduled in-person drawing consultation as we do not ever send artwork to you or allow photos.

-Why not?

We prefer to discuss all aspects of your tattoo in person, so we know your own true feelings about the design. Sometimes, someone may take a design to a friend, relative, or even strangers to get their opinion on the artwork, which may not match your own and might sway how you feel about it when you initially really enjoyed the design. The ONLY opinion on your design that matters is yours and your artist’s, and we don’t want anything to complicate that. We invite you to feel comfortable and open to discuss your thoughts with your artist. Making changes does not hurt our feelings but letting us give you a tattoo you don’t love definitely does. A true professional artist should never shame you or make you feel uncomfortable to share your thoughts. If you are concerned about the opinions of others regarding your tattoos, we strongly advise you NOT to get tattooed.

How much do your tattoos cost?

We do not have a general rate for our tattoos. We price every tattoo individually. Size, detail, color, time, and your budget are all factors when pricing our work. It’s important to understand that extremely large-scale products can be difficult to put an exact price on, as it can be hard to determine how many sessions and how much time it will exactly take to complete. These kinds of projects should not be taken lightly and are a very serious investment for both you and your artist. Multi-session pieces are paid by the session for the work completed in that session. A consultation can further address any questions regarding price.

What should I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment?

EAT SOMETHING BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT! It is very important to eat a good meal and bring snacks and drinks to longer tattoo appointments. The most common reason to sometimes feeling sick or passing out during a tattoo is low blood sugar.

Wear comfortable clothing that gives the artist access to the area being tattooed. Something you also don’t mind getting dirty, as the ink may cause stains.

You DO NOT need to shave the area before arriving to your appointment. We wouldn’t want to cause any unnecessary irritation to the area prior to getting the tattoo due to a bad shave job.

Make sure your skin is clean and free of damage or heavy products (including spray tan).
